Earth Day

The students celebrated Earth Day today! We had a busy, fun-filled day that started right at 8:30 am.

First, the students completed an art project and a short write-up. In their write-ups, the students wrote about some ways to help the Earth.

The students cut their write-ups into the shape of a hand.

Then, the students planted their flower seeds for our in-class Science projects.

The students planted their seeds in groups of three and placed their flower pots in the window for plenty of sunlight.

Finally, we wrapped up the day by watching The Lorax with all the first grade classes in the school, and the students learned a new word: PHOTOSYNTHESIS.

It was an exciting day for the students!
