…Not only a faster way to count, but also a BC Ministry of Education prescribed learning outcome for grade one. Of course, skip counting can be tricky – especially counting by 2s. Fortunately, YouTube was invented for times like this…
There are a lot of fun skip counting videos that students can sing along to as they count.
First by 2s…(the video counts till 100, but students only need to count till 20 by 2s.)
Then, they can sing and dance as they count by 5s.
Last but not least, they can count by 10s.
The HaveFunTeaching channel also has some other great skip counting videos for older children – perfect for prepping students for learning their multiplication facts!
